As we are working on two languages- Malayalam and Kannada, we have two different timelines that trace some of the major movements that have impacted Kerala and Karnataka, respectively. The Malayalam Nation Formation Timeline talks about Vallathol Narayana Menon and his contribution to the nation through his nationalistic writing. Also, how after the amalgamation of Kerala to India, the acceptance of the Malayalam language and the movements related to it. The Kannada Language Movements Timeline talks about how the Kannada language has shaped the identity of the state. It focuses on three main events- the Gokak Agitation, the “Ganchali bidi Kannada matadi” movement, and the “Kasargod Chalo" rally.
